One of the most popular lamps that have been out on the market for decades has been the 150PAR38 lamps. They are an incandescent source used in floodlighting situations.  But with the advent of federal energy legislation, that lamp became obsolete for domestic distribution because of its poor energy efficiency.  But people still wanted the same amount of light that they got from that lamp, so Sylvania developed the 120PAR38 halogen bulb  which gives the same amount of light for 30 watts less.  In fact, it seems like the light is actually brighter, because it's a whiter light.  Many people have also been looking for this lamp in a wide flood version, which we also carry.  The wide flood works good in situations where the ceiling is very low or you have track lighting that is lowered from the ceiling and you need to get maximum dispersion.  With a 50ﾰ beam spread, it will work in almost any low lighting application and this is especially true of retail stores or any kind of recessed lighting.
