When someone needs a lower wattage in a smaller flood light, then you might need something like this one.  The 30 watt version of the R20 has been used in a wide variety of applications including areas like track lights, eyeball fixtures or in elevators.  They also have been used in sign lighting and scoreboards in some places and it makes sense where changing the bulb would be hard to do.  People have always wanted light bulbs to last longer and not have to change them so often, that's why we offer 30R20 floods in a 10,000 hour average rated life.  These are the R20 size bulbs which you might be familiar with, the ones you've probably bought for years in hardware stores and are 2 1/2 inches inches across the face.  These 30 watt versions are probably the most common of any wattage, but there are some other choices now as well including more energy efficient compact fluorescent.  For most people, the low cost and extended life makes these a real winner in places where it isn't convenient to change bulbs as often.  There are also versions that have a teflon coating or a silicone coating which will prevent shattering and breakage.

Incandescent lamps are the type that were developed earliest of any of the other kinds and some of these progressed into what we know as 30R20 long life flood light bulbs.  The long life version are the same physical size as other flood lamps but have multiple filament supports that protect against vibration and rough use.  If you're a commercial user, then R20 floods would be a great choice for many of the applications you have today.  Large commercial buildings are still a major user of this lamp where the labor to change out bulbs can get quite expensive.  The savings in this case can be quite extensive resulting in a quick payback on the higher cost of these bulbs.  If you have incandescent lamps anywhere in your building, they can be susceptible to vibration in elevators, slamming doors or machines being turned on and off.  In fact, one of the most common applications in a building is the elevator ceiling, you'll see them many times there and so you can see why vibration resistance would be essential.  Another savings to keep in mind, is that your maintenance people won't be changing bulbs as often, that means a labor savings as well.  With added labor savings, your people can take care of more pressing issues rather than a light bulb going out.

If you've decided on ServiceLighting.com, you've made an excellent choice for a wide variety of lamps.  From your commercial building to industrial lighting, you will most likely find these 30R20 long life flood light bulbs in service.  It's easy to buy light bulbs online from our store and you will get them in a few days shipped from our warehouse in Minnesota. Remember that there are many types of bulbs, we describe just some of the most common used in retail and commercial building lighting here.  Whatever type you choose, you will be getting the highest quality and the most light you can for your money.  If you need help identifying a bulb, our customer service representatives can help you determine what you have.
