One of the best innovations in lighting occurred many years ago when BR flood lights were developed with an extra long life, up to 10,000 hours average rated life!  People have always wanted light bulbs to last longer and not have to change them so often, that's why we offer BR38 long life flood light bulbs as a part of our selection. Common to almost every type of lighting application has been the flood light bulbs that you buy for recessed or track lighting. They fit in almost any 6 inch recessed light fixture, but one of the most common places that it's used are in track lighting for retail stores.  The BR38 is similar in looks to a PAR38 but has a much shorter life.  It's shape and dimpled face give it a special look which is used in many retail stores.  It has a standard medium base and screws into sockets that are made for all kinds of US lighting.  The BR38 flood lights come in 135 watts referenced as 135BR38.  There are some these lamps on the market and may look like these but they don't have the super long life that these do.  The BR38 is sometimes a suitable replacement for 150R40 lamps saving you energy while getting longer life.

Incandescent lamps are the type that were developed earliest of any of the other kinds and these progressed into what we know as BR38 long life flood light bulbs.  It's a long history with this lamp and most of the improvements have come with longer life versions of these lamps.  The long life bulbs are the same physical size as other flood lamps but have multiple filament supports that protect against vibration and rough use.  In fact, these are sometimes called rough service or vibration service bulbs.  If you're a commercial user, then BR38 long life light bulbs would be a great choice for many of the applications you have today.  Large commercial buildings are still a major user of this lamp where the labor to change out bulbs can get quite expensive.  The savings in this case can be quite extensive resulting in a quick payback on the higher cost of these bulbs.  If you have incandescent lamps anywhere in your building, they can be susceptible to vibration of slamming doors or machines being turned on and off.  There are so many recessed and track lighting situations where these bulbs can be used because most people want their light bulbs to last longer.  It just makes life easier by not having to change light bulbs so often!

If you've decided on ServiceLighting.com, you've made an excellent choice for good lighting and you're in good company. From your local retailer to finer homes to retail business lighting, you will most likely find these BR38 long life flood light bulbs in some applications lighting your way.  It's easy to buy light bulbs online from our store and you will get them in a few days shipped from our warehouse in Minnesota. Remember that there are many types of bulbs, we describe just some of the most common used in home situations and commercial lighting here.  Whatever type you choose, you will be getting the highest quality and the most light you can for your money.  If you need help identifying a bulb, our customer service representatives can help you determine what you have.
