There are many times when people want to get the great look of a full spectrum incandescent in the shape of a globe.  The main reason is that sometimes a decorative look is what is desired in places where the bulb is out in the open.  They also want to get the flattering color of a natural daylight bulb as well.  Now, all of these problems are solved in these great globe lights.  This is one of those lamps which has a size which is in between the G30 and the G16.5.  This particular lamp is a version of a decorative globe and is popular in homes and buildings where the scale is smaller with most of the fixtures in use.  For most people when they have a decorative lighting situation in their residence, really like the G25 globes as an option because they give the globe decorative look without making it too  large.  Of course, there are several sizes of decorative globes which can work in almost any exposed lighting situation you may have.  Some of the sizes that are available are everything from all 1 inch globe all the way up to a 5 inch globe, the G25 is 3 1/8 inches in diameter.

Right now though, the full spectrum G25 globe light is one of the few sizes available in this color effect.  These lamps have a neodymium coating which filter out many of the offensive yellows that a typical incandescent emits.  In a retail store, it will help bring out true colors of your products like no other kind of incandescent lamp.  How would you like to have an increased color depth to the products you sell or things you feature in your home?  Most people prefer having a more colorful environment, and there's nothing like natural daylight that brings out true color.  When it comes to lighting up a space to more like natural daylight, these are the best choice among incandescent lamps today. The 40G25/NEO or the 60G25/NEO is a direct replacement for standard G25 globes which have a soft white or yellowish color to them.  We have the Sylvania Daylight 60G25/DAY which is the daylight version made by them and the Westinghouse Realite 40G25.  Simply screw them into any place where you have the standard globes and you will see the difference that natural lighting can make in your home or office.

There are times when people just need something that's a bit smaller, the full spectrum G25 globe bulbs many times fits that criteria.  Common applications for these bulbs include bathroom lighting or other kinds of exposed fixtures where the bulb is a part of the decorative element.  You'll find that there are so many variations of globe light bulbs, that can be a little confusing, but there are just a few things to keep in mind when trying to identify the bulb you have.  When these bulbs are labeled or coded, it refers to the number of eighths of an inch. For example, if you had a G25 globe light, the 25 would be divided by eight which would leave you 3 1/8 and that is the number of inches of the bulb diameter.  So what you have is a 3 1/8 inch globe.  Once you determine the size of the globe itself, it's very easy to determine the wattage as it's usually stamped right on the bulb itself or on the base.  The wattage is usually designated before that with something like 40G25 or 60G25.

Remember that there are a couple of wattages for the full spectrum G25 globe light bulbs, we describe some of the most common used in home and commercial lighting here.  We have a large inventory of incandescent  bulbs for nearly every type of light fixture in the field.  If you need help identifying a globe or natural light bulb, our customer service representatives can help you determine what you have.
