When most people think about halogen lighting, they often think in terms of the color of the light or the energy efficiency.  Of course, the configuration of the bulb itself is also something to consider.  There are many kinds of halogen flood light bulbs including PAR lamps, R40 and R30 plus more.  There are more kinds coming out all the time as engineers find new uses for it.  All these manufacturers have put a halogen capsule into various shells to get a desired lighting effect.  And although the capsule is the same in most cases, the out light control portion really determines where the light is going to perform.  For most installations, they are used in track or recessed lighting with a 6 inch opening or less and can be dimmed with a standard incandescent dimmer.  In many types of lighting applications, the dimming capability is what makes it a wonderful choice for dining rooms, kitchens or high ceiling lighting for large rooms.  The versatility this gives you for many types of applications is almost endless.  For retailers, these are some of the best new options giving a whiter light while getting more efficient lighting.

Many businesses are looking for ways to save energy, just look for areas where you might use halogen flood light bulbs and find the right replacement on our web site.  In many cases, the new R30 flood light would be a natural as a replacement for standard BR30 that consume 65 watts.  You will find a great reduction in your electrical bill while still getting the amount of light that you want.  Be aware that using these on a dimmer will work just fine, but you will need turn them on full light output on occasion to properly complete the halogen cycle in the lamp itself.  There is a nice reduction going to a halogen source and you will get the added benefit of getting better lighting as well.  We can't emphasize enough the improvement in the light itself.  Many people would describe it as a cleaner light, making things look better.  If you're a retail store with track or recessed lighting, then this will bring out color of the products you want to sell.  This light really is a winner when it comes to replacing the old style incandescent lamps.

Sylvania has a complete line of flood lights including PAR lamps which is probably the most common of all.  They generally call their halogen line Capsylite and within that category are many different configurations PAR bulbs. PAR stands for parabolic aluminum reflector and there is even a full spectrum variety called Daylight Plus.  Whatever the lighting need, there probably is a Sylvania halogen flood that will work correctly in that situation.  ServiceLighting.com is an online light bulb company that offers the entire Sylvania catalog for purchase over the web. So whether you need halogen, fluorescent or HID sources, we'll have the right bulb for your need. In this case, we have the breadth of the entire offering of Sylvania PAR lamps.

Keep in mind that there are a many types of halogen flood light bulbs, we describe some of the most common used in commercial lighting or for your home here.  The brands we have are Sylvania in PAR lamps and Westinghouse for some capsule bipin and quartz versions.  Whatever type you have, you will be getting a longer life bulb than what you're used to, getting the most light you can for your money.  We have a large inventory of flood bulbs for all types of light fixtures in use today.  If you need help identifying your halogen flood light bulb, our customer service representatives can help you determine what you have.
