Early on in their history, traditional compact fluorescent light bulbs didn't have much of a decorative element to them, making them undesirable in open fixtures.  They just didn't look all that good or looked so unusual, people thought them unsightly.  Then Panasonic came out with a globe version which was much more decorative and could be used as a bulb out in the open.  It looked like other globe light bulbs!  They have allowed people to get increased energy efficiency while maintaining look of certain areas like bathrooms or marquis type lighting.  Compact fluorescent lights are the smaller fluorescents you see used in almost any type of light fixture that replaces an incandescent light bulb. When it comes to lighting up your home, office or garage, compact fluorescent bulbs are the new choice of bulbs.  When compared to incandescent lighting, these are longer lasting, using much less energy making them a perfect choice for almost any type of lighting. There are several kinds of Panasonic globe compact light bulb types which include the regular household base.

You can buy Panasonic globe compact fluorescent light bulbs in almost any color you want including the 5000K full spectrum color light.  The full spectrum 5000K has special phosphors that give it a similar color to daylight or natural sunlight.  It provides light the way our eyes use it, giving better visual acuity and reducing problems like eyestrain or computer screen glare problems.  But fluorescents can come in many other colors as well and are identified by their Kelvin temperature. By definition, virtually all are full spectrum in that they contain some of all colors in their spectral range. However, the term full spectrum is primarily used when referring to those lamps that fall into the white to blue/white color temperature range. Color temperature is measured by a term called Kelvin. One of the phosphor colors for Panasonic is the 2800 Kelvin, which would be a warm tone color, 5000 Kelvin would be a white color.  You'll find a great variety of these for your home in the regular household base, so you don't have to change out fixtures or bathroom lighting, simply screw it in.  Some of the wattages that are available are 15, 20 and 25 watts replacing incandescent lamps.  They are sometimes referred to as EFG15E28, EFG15E50, EFG20E28 and EFG20E50.  The first number in the code refers to the wattage and the second number pertains to the color temperature.  The G in the code denotes the shape which is a globe.

If you're trying to save energy in your bathrooms or decorative lighting situations. Panasonic globe compact fluorescent light bulbs are the perfect choice to replace higher wattage incandescent lamps and save energy.  Just look for areas where you might use incandescent light bulbs and find the right replacement on our web site.  You will find a great reduction in your electrical bill while still getting the amount of light that you want.  Be aware of electric utility rebates in your area which might reduce the initial cost for compact fluorescent light bulbs.  This happens more often in commercial lighting than it is for residential as they are a larger user of electricity during the day or high electrical demand times.  You can save as much as 75% in lighting energy costs while maintaining the globe shape that people like in so many lighting applications.

Remember that there are several wattages and configurations of Panasonic globe compact fluorescent light bulbs, we describe some of the most common used in home and commercial lighting here.  Keep in mind that we also stock all the larger or linear types of fluorescent lamps used in commercial lighting.  Whatever you choose to buy, you will be saving energy while getting the most light you can for your money.  We have a large inventory of fluorescent bulbs for nearly every type of light fixture in the field.  If you need help identifying a bulb, our customer service representatives can help you determine what you have.
