important function. This lamp is often used in places like elevator
lighting traditionally, but there are some indicator lighting applications as
well. When it comes to lighting an area with small flood lights, this bulb has been
a common one used for a long time. The reason they
often choose the R12 flood is because of it's very small size and short overall
length as well.
While they're not unusual from the standpoint of what they look like, except for
the base that is a single contact or push and turn base. The wattage is 20
watts and it's rated for 13 volts. So what you have to have is a low
voltage lighting systems that will accommodate this. It's sometimes called the
#1383 lamp or R12 flood light bulbs. If you have these in your
building elevators or other small fixture,
you'll appreciate the R12 light which gives off a pleasing golden glow which
doesn't look like anything else in the fixture.

as long as the socket is correct. Almost
anywhere that a small flood lamp is required, the R12 flood light is a great
choice. In some cases where people want to get more light or a brighter
light, then it probably makes sense to upgrade to a halogen PAR14. The
overall length is 2.6 inches making it one of the most compact light sources
still available today. We even have these in a safety coated version as
one of the variations, if not the only one. There really aren't too many
choices when it comes to this lamp.
