If you're looking for a special colored lighting effect in a small flood
light, then these R20 colored floods made the right choice for you.
While they're not unusual from the standpoint of what they look like, there are
a variety of colors to choose from. These flood
light bulbs are small enough to use in almost any recessed or track lighting
fixture and are slightly smaller across the face than the BR25 or BR30 flood.
Sometimes it's just the only thing that will fit in certain fixtures. The
available colors are amber, red, green, blue, pink and clear sometimes called the
50R20/PINK, 50R20/RED, 50R20/BLUE
or 50R20/GREEN flood light. As you can guess, the only wattage they
come in are the 50 watt version. The colored light bulbs from Westinghouse
have an excellent coating, probably the best in the industry. They fit
almost anywhere, including the eyeball fixtures which can turn in almost any
direction. So when you want that colored lighting effect for a party,
special occasion or the Christmas holiday season, you will be able to get the
right color in the size fixture you have. Remember that you can also
combine some of these primary colors to get a whole different color! We
keep these in stock and are always available for these special times of the year
when a lighted color can make all the difference.
For most installations, they're used in recessed lighting
with a 4 inch or 3 inch opening and can be dimmed with a standard incandescent dimmer.
In many types of lighting applications, the dimming capability is what makes it
a wonderful choice for special party occasions. The places where the R20
colored flood light can be used are endless,
which sometimes includes recessed downlights in a large party room or the track
lighting in your home. The R20 colored flood is 2.5
inches across the face if you're measuring it for identification purposes,
they have a standard medium base too. If you're having a Christmas party,
our red and green light bulbs will be an obvious choice and add to the festive
atmosphere. Many people use our amber and black lights for Halloween, but
there are many types of occasions which would be better served with special R20
colored flood light bulbs. How about giving an extra boost to an office
party or a special birthday for the kids? Use your imagination and make it
something special!
Remember that there are few types of incandescent R20 colored flood light bulbs, we describe some
of the most common used in home and commercial lighting here. The brands
