For years, people have wanted to get a more natural color in the R40 flood light bulbs they use.  These are the large size flood lights that are often used in recessed lighting.  Now, there are large sized R40 lamps which meet the needs of recessed light fixtures which could use some whiter light.  The R40 incandescent is considered a large flood used in 6 inch downlights, making it one of the most versatile lamps on the market.  If you have a retail store and use standard R40 lamps, then consider using these natural light versions.  They will give you a whiter light because the Neodymium coating filters out most of the offensive yellow color that most people don't like.  In a store, it will help bring out true color like no other kind of incandescent lamp.  How would you like to have an increased color depth to the products you sell or things you feature in your home?  Most people prefer having a more colorful environment, and there's nothing like natural daylight that brings out true color.  Reds will appear redder and blues will seem bluer.  That's the effect that these bulbs can do for you in any space you use them.  There are several kinds of daylight flood light bulb types which include the regular household base.  There are the R20, R30, PAR38, PAR30 as well as the R40 full spectrum flood bulbs we're talking about here.  The 90 watt PAR38 full spectrum halogen is sometimes a good replacement for the 150 watt R40 to save energy while still being able to get the daylight color.

The R40 full spectrum flood light bulbs also have a longer life than the ones you've gotten in the past, generally about 30% longer life.  The wattage is the standard 150 watt version, so these make a good direct replacement for the existing ones you might have now.  We have the Westinghouse ReaLite 150R40/NEO which is the daylight version made by them.  Simply screw them into any place where you have the standard R40 and you will see the difference that natural lighting can make in your home or office.  And because it's a 150 watt lamp, it's going to be very bright and illuminate well.  Speaking of the office, you might want to consider using 5000K fluorescents to brighten up your office.  You can get fluorescent tubes in almost any color you want including the more desirable full spectrum light.  The full spectrum has special phosphors that give it a similar color to daylight or natural sunshine.  It produces light the way our eyes naturally use it, giving better visual acuity and reducing problems like eyestrain.

In the home, you'll like using the R40 full spectrum flood light bulbs in places like your kitchen and bathroom.  It's the standard size that most people use in their home, and the size has been a favorite for many years, probably because of the inexpensive price.  The reason they're especially good in areas like kitchens and bathrooms is because of the white surfaces they usually have.  This makes those surfaces and areas appear whiter, giving a cleaner, white look.  There are homes which have small track lighting which highlights pictures or figurines or decorative elements, and the R40 full spectrum flood light can also make those items look better.  It really makes your home look better compared to using yellow colored incandescent light.  If you have any of the areas described here, please buy some of these light bulbs for your home, you'll be glad you did.

Remember that there are many types of full spectrum flood light bulbs, we describe the very common 150R40 flood light here.  But keep in mind that we also stock all the Sylvania and Westinghouse lamps used in commercial lighting.  Whatever type you have, by switching to full spectrum, you will be getting more natural lighting. We have a large inventory of bulbs for nearly every type of light fixture in the field.  If you need help identifying a bulb, our customer service representatives can help you determine what you have.
