One of the best innovations in compact fluorescent light bulbs in history has been the Sylvania Dulux S lamp.  It was the first type of compact fluorescent which opened up a whole new world of possibilities in lighting and energy efficiency.  It's what some people call a twin tube fluorescent.  The reason they are so great is that it allowed designers to get a very small bulb that has a great light output.  These also offer light control that was not possible with other kinds of linear fluorescent lamps.  The lengths of the Sylvania Dulux S lamps was such that the placement in a fixture would be in an ideal position for light distribution. They have been used for years in small fluorescent fixtures, exit signs and almost anything you could think of. The Dulux S is a high lumen compact fluorescent, which because of its shape, can be used in many areas where a lot of light was not possible before. The color rendition on the lamp is very high making it an excellent choice for color sensitive areas. The shape of the bulb is the T4 and it has two pins typically, but there are a few of them that have four pins.

When it comes to lighting up a home or office, compact fluorescent bulbs tend to be the ones specified more often by engineers and architects. They are chosen because of the great light output and good color along with energy efficiency. When compared to incandescent lighting, these are longer lasting, up to 10,000 hours life, using much less energy. It makes them a perfect choice for almost any type of lighting.  You'll find these in several wattages down to 5 watt and all the way up to 13 watts.  You can also get Sylvania Dulux S in almost any color you want with a warmer 3000K color or the 4100K color more like office lighting.  They've even become available in full spectrum 5000k color too.  Fluorescent lamps can come in many other colors as well and are identified by their Kelvin temperature.  The typical office color is usually the 4100 and so it makes sense that these would match up to what the light color is all around the office.

With the advent of higher electrical costs, many businesses are looking for ways to save energy with lighting. Obviously, Sylvania Dulux S compact fluorescent light bulbs are the perfect choice to replace higher wattage incandescent bulbs and save energy. You will find a great reduction in your electrical bill while still getting the amount of light that you want. Be aware of electric utility rebates in your area which might be available for compact fluorescent light bulbs including the Dulux S. This is a more common occurance in commercial lighting than it is for residential as they are a larger user of electricity during the day or high demand times.  In most cases it's been used in energy saving light fixtures or common areas where there can be adequate light control while retaining good aesthetics.

Remember that there are many types of Sylvania Dulux S compact fluorescent light bulbs, we describe some of the most common used in home and commercial lighting here. Keep in mind that we also stock all the larger or linear types of fluorescent lamps used in commercial lighting. So whatever you have, you will be saving energy while getting the most light you can for your money.  If you need help identifying a bulb, our customer service representatives can help you determine what you have.
