Matching up the size and diameter of the light bulb is very important when purchasing replacement light bulbs for your track lighting. You will want to make sure your new light bulbs fit into the cans or sockets that your track lighting fixture is built for, otherwise they may not light up at all, or they may light up, but stick out of the end of the fixture, potentially becoming an eyesore.
